Did you know? Rainbow Drive-In serves over 1,000 plate lunches per day at its landmark location on Kapahulu - the same spot they’ve been at since 1961!

Rainbow Drive-In was started by Seiju and Ayako Ifuku in 1961. Seiju learned to cook while serving in the famous 100th Battalion during World War II, and returned to Hawaii with dreams of creating a brick and mortar plate lunch business that served up delicious local comfort foods.

The Rainbow Drive-In tradition lives on today at its three locations across Oahu, where they serve generous portions of hearty, simple foods at an affordable price.
